Work on building
the complex containing a fortress, palace and mosque for
Muhammed Ibn Al Ahmar began in 1248 and lasted until 1354.
The Alhambra was changed by the Christians after 1492 and it
was not until the 19th century that restoration work began,
bringing the Alhambra back to its original Moorish state. |
