Heart of the
Century
is the impressive three-deck high Grand Foyer. Lined with
shops, a coffee bar and the 24-hour Guest Relations Desk,
this is probably where you will first set foot on the
Century.
Apart from new carpeting and a remodeling of the grand
staircase, the major change here is the addition of a
specialty restaurant, run by Celebrity Chef Michel Roux..

Called
Murano, the exquisite reservations-only restaurant is
located just off the Guest Relations Desk on Plaza Deck. A
small passageway lined with showcases full of Murano
glassware leads to the actual restaurants which is divided
in three sections. First you have a 'wine cellar' which
can be booked for small groups. Then, there is the
window-walled main section. And finally you |

|
will find a semi-secluded
four-table alcove that boasts a colorful mural. Murano's design is so utterly
elegant, completely understated and devoid of any glitz that you can't help but
fall in love with this gorgeous restaurant.

One deck
up, the Cova Café has been spruced up but still has the
same petite chairs and petite tables overlooking the Grand Foyer. Designed as a seagoing sidewalk café, expect to pay extra
for a cappuccino or espresso here. And a shot of
caffeine, head
up one more deck to do some serious shopping in the large
boutique that is bathing in blue light from the overhead
'skylight'. |
