On most ships optimal use is made of the
traditional open Promenade Deck, but on
Century
the outside deck
is almost hidden from view. On this ship 'Promenade
Deck' is all about indoor entertainment, with a choice of
bars, lounges and even a 1,000 seat theater. |

Aft on
Promenade Deck you will find the attractive Rendez-Vous
Lounge, serving as the main thoroughfare for the Grand
Restaurant. Stretching across the full width of the
vessel, the Rendez-Vous Lounge is a large room but hides
its volume through ingenuous design. New carpeting and
upholstery give a fresher look here. |

Directly forward
of the Grand Foyer is a series of non-revenue rooms that have apparently been
overlooked during the revitalization. There is a card room, a cinema, some
conference rooms and the Library still has that ugly worn-out leather sofa in
it. The wood paneling make the rooms quite attractive, but we would have
expected some tender love and care here. |

Completely re-upholstered, the 1,000 seat Celebrity Theatre
has seen no structural changes during the rebuilding. The
mini-atrium at the entrance is still quite spectacular and
the previous dull gray color scheme has been thankfully
replaced by a more traditional "theater-red'. On all
levels the banquette seating is staggered to ensure good
sightlines. |
