Constellation offers a
wide variety
of public rooms and bars. But sailing on a ship that is longer than
Queen Elizabeth 2 does means that walking shoes are essential. With
the main dining room on one end of the ship and the theater on the other,
prepare for some serious strolling! |
|
|
|
To keep both the
guests and the cruise line happy, Constellation's
designers have made the trek from one end to the other as much fun as possible by providing
many possibilities to spend money on the way. You see,
there is no way to miss either the Shopping Center, Art
Gallery or Casino on your way to the Theater after dinner. Constellation's
gaudy casino is aptly named Fortunes. With its over the
top décor, this is by far the least elegant room on the
ship. |
|
|
|
One of the
largest public rooms on Constellation is the stunning three-deck high Celebrity Theater,
seating no less than 900 guests in comfort. Borrowing the best features from earlier Celebrity and Royal Caribbean vessels, the result is nothing less than spectacular.
Too bad the make-believe "flames" (in reality pieces of
fabric blowing in a breeze) along the walls of the room
that were so novel as the ship entered service have now
disappeared. |

Celebrity's signature Michael's Club remains under lock
and key during our visit. Modeled after an old-fashioned
gentleman's club and originally designated as a cigar
lounge, Michael's Club is used as a piano bar these days.
With the vast Photo Gallery on its doorstep, this is not
the most obvious location for an upscale cocktail bar.
Still, many people find their way to Michael's Club making
it a very popular hideaway. |
