Europa
is decidedly different. You feel it the moment
you step on board as you are welcomed by friendly staff
members that prefer to
address guests with "Frau" and "Herr" instead of "Mildred"
and "John". The sense of formality is even reflected
in the ship's interiors, which are done in neutral tones
complemented by beautiful wood paneling. The core of the ship
is the pleasing 7-deck high Atrium, with 24-hour reception
desk, tour desk, photo gallery and small piano bar. |

There is a pretty good chance you won't get out of your suite
at all when sailing on Europa. The attention to detail is
astounding. Expect to find twin sinks and separate showers and tubs in all
bathrooms. Fluffy European duvets. Balconies in 82 % of all
suites. And lots of living and storage space for all. Suites
come in three sizes. First there is the "standard"
suite, which is all but standard in terms of size and
amenities. Most of these suite feature a private veranda. |

|
Next in line is the Penthouse Deluxe Suite, offering 45 sq m
of living space, a semi closed-off bedroom, Jacuzzi tub and
larger sitting area. But most impressive are the two Penthouse
Grand Suites, located all the way up on the highest deck.
Offering stunning views forward, these suites are nothing
short of extravagant. The decor of these suites is kept very
neutral ... perhaps a bit too neutral for my taste. But
the sheer indulgence of having your own huge living room, private
sauna (!), telescope and wrap-around balcony will please even
the most discerning of guests. |
